    Let it out!

I think bitching about society doesn't help changing it. Change that comes from anger is always disharmonious. It should come from love to have harmonious results. Saying 'people are hypocrites' is the same as saying 'people are stupid'. It doesn't explain anything and isn't based on anything...

The Voice - The Cosmos and the Quantum Universe

I watched it. Fortunately VLC Media Player can speed up video, so it only took me about an hour and fifteen minutes to finish it, because there wasn't really that much information there that would really be helpful for anyone. I mean I liked the way they explained how they see the nature of...

You hope that the Icelandic Government will rot in hell, but you don't do anything about it and pretend everything is okay while you beam light around, you are actually helping them create the current situation because you take an underpaid job that nobody else will take. You are 'helping' the...

I disagree with a lot of people. You are not speical in that respect. I kinda knew you didn't mean temptation, I just like the analogy, and I interpret it differently than you did. What I meant was that you can educate yourself and buy mostly pure products. You cannot really go wrong...

    Vegetarianism

That's BS. Just don't buy stuff with animal products in it. You have got to be convinced about your own lifestyle. You are saying something like: staying off drugs is hard if you walk by a dealer every day. OT: Dairy is quite a weird part of the diet. What other animal you know of takes the...

^Dude, if I were society and I was confronted with people like you all the time, I wouldn't give you a dime. Go clean toilets or deliver pizza or ANYTHING that makes other people happy in order to get paid. Jeez! Don't bite the hand that feeds you.

    Addiction and Weed/Hash

I'm not saying it is impossible to use it daily and open up to the divine, I'm just speaking from experience and what I see around me with friends/acquantances. When it becomes a habit, even if it feels good, it looses its function. It is possible to use ritualistically, but when your awareness...

    Braingasm

Thanks for clearing that up. If there are no problems there's no need to fix. Ayahuasca has other qualities, but stabilizing the serotonin system is one of the more miraculous.
  14. G

    intantional sleep deprivation

Yes. The problem with weightlifting is that because of the focus on one muscle or a group of muscles in each exercise, you isolate them instead of connecting them to the rest of the body. This creates tension/stress between muscle groups (usually in the joints and/or the vertebrae). Yoga does...

    Braingasm

sounds like a trip. I never had such a thing (where I physically felt a vein pop in my brain), but on a mental/spiritual level I understand what you mean perfectly. Usually by the time I'm peaking my body is soft and relaxed and I don't get eruptions. What you say about the MDMA abuse, was...
  16. G

    intantional sleep deprivation

What is proper weightlifting? I said this, because in general it makes the muscles less flexible, which causes the body to lock up and develop symptoms in the lower back, the shoulders, etc. You should really keep a close eye on posture and the amount of weight you are using, especially if you...
  17. G

    intantional sleep deprivation

Well, with ayahuasca, your body cleanses itself, which isn't always a nice process but in the long term is better. Weightlifting isn't very good for the body. Studying is good for the mind, but if you forget about the body, in the long run you will be unhealthy. If your body is relaxed...

    Addiction and Weed/Hash

People have addictive behaviour, it isn't the drugs that do it. I know people who smoke/vaporize daily and I don't think it is the way to go. It seems like these people are numbing themselves instead of opening up to the divine.

    Ego - Soul - God ???

That is pretty speculative. I mean, I have had such experiences on shrooms and acid too, but it seems like a balancing act where you try to uphold as much of your worldview as possible without the possibility of you being wrong. Postponing oneness until after human existence is pretty...

    Ego - Soul - God ???

I applaud all of this. However, if you look around this board and other psychonaut boards, you often see a lot of people who are against society and 'the system', escaping from reality rather than living right in the middle. I think that people believing in an external God aren't necessarily...

I had a sheit day at work today. Nothing seemed to work. Computers crashing, deliveries failing, customers not watching their children who demolish everything in sight, etc. etc. Frustrating.
  41. G

Varying differences in experience between people

I don't have a clue, but I almost always have an experience I would describe as therapeutic/spiritual. My friends who don't, usually don't look for it, so maybe intention is part of the process (although it wouldn't explain your atheist turnaround).

I don't listen to McKenna anymore, although it was fun to do a few years ago. I really like Alan Watts, but don't listen to him anymore either. Psychedelic literature in need of criticism.

Remove unnecessary words. Use the right words. Make it flow. :D Actually, I like it! You could try to focus a bit more on one thought instead of a stream of thoughts, but that is perhaps just my own preference. It reminds me of the old BBC series 'Connections', taking a bird's eye view on...

I'm pretty sure copyright won't be a problem since you don't aim to make money. Reading is difficult for me too when I'm high, just too many interesting thoughts jumping from the text, so I can only read one sentence and think for 2 minutes, read the sentence again and think while I read the next one, forgetting what I read instantly.
