    question about peyote

Do not place this Peyote in the sun for the next two weeks. When the soil is dried out give the Peyote water, let the excess of water flow away. Place your Peyote after two weeks in the sun. Turn the site which is not burnt towards the sun. Be carefull with the sun for this Peyote till the autumn.

    question about peyote

It will be very useful when you post a picture. It is probably an infection through the roots, which grew further to the skin of the Peyote. Roots get easily damaged and infected while potting or repotting a Peyote Cactus. It could be an insect which made small holes in the skin of a plant. It...

    Accurately measuring mescaline

Which research ? Research by Poisson (1960) showed 93,5 % water by weight, and 95% water by other researchers. Both in the San Pedro Cactus (Trichocereus pachanoi = Echinopsis pachanoi).

    Trichocereus Bridgesii, how much?

Last year they researched 14 Trichocereus species, and among them was Tr. bridgesii monstrose and Tr. bridgesii . Mescaline: 0,48 % and 0,18 % of dry weight of the tissue of the outer skin layer. But Tr. bridgesii has natural MAO inhibitors. See: http://forums.mycotopia.net/attachments ...

    Cactus drogen

Droog...

    any tips to grow faster?

Nitrogen (N) stimulates the growth of Cacti and other plants. Few Nitrogen (as in a Cactus fertilizer: N-P-K = 5-15-25) stimulates the growth less than a normal fertilizer (N-P-K = 20-20-20). So it indeed slows down the growth in comparison with normal fertilizers !

This big and beautiful Peyote does not deserve to be eaten !
  20. M

i had my first time san pedro...

I am afraid that with chewing you will get too few Mescaline in your body for a real trip. Because it is very hard work to chew for two hours ! So you'll need to drink San Pedro soup as well.
  21. M

i had my first time san pedro...

Yes, try to swallow as few San Pedro as possible. It is difficult to chew !
  22. M

i had my first time san pedro...

You have to chew a long time, and do not swallow the San Pedro. A foot or more (40 cm) San Pedro of 3 inch (7 - 8 cm) thick must be enough when you digest it. When you chew it you need less San Pedro.
  23. M

i had my first time san pedro...

Sure, when you digest the Peyote 95 % of the Mescaline is absorbed in your liver. When you chew the San Pedro the Mescaline will be absorbed in tissue of your mouth. Much more Mescaline will reach your brains.
  24. M

N-P-K of 6-12-6 has too few K, which will make your plants weaker than needed. Besides that there is no Mg in it, so better look out for a complete fertilizer. More info here: http://www.peyote-paradise.nl/index.php ... 25&lang=NL
  31. M

    is this fertalizer useable?

Better is a special Cactus-fertilizer with low Nitrogen. Something like N-P-K-Mg of 5-20-40-3 . With 20-20-20 the Cacti will get too much N, and will grow to long and weak. Perhaps the San Pedro's will grow well, but the Peyote will grow much too long.

Growing and branching is activated by nitrogen (N2). Somehow your SP's are getting more of it. Phosphor (P2) is specially needed for the roots and the flowers. The best Cactus-fertilizers contain: 1. Magnesium (Mg) which is needed for making chlorofyl: even 3 % ! 2. micro-nutrients...

I've finally translated the word grub ! ;-) The little grubs are probably the grubs of the sciara fly. The fly itself has long black wings, which it moves continuously. The fly is laying eggs in the soil, out of which the grubs are coming a couple of days later. The grubs are eating the...

    cactus resin

No. But when there is too few light, a cactus will grow smaller and weaker when there is sufficient water and high enough temperatures. Bulbs or TL will not give enough light (20.000 Lux or more is needed). Many cacti need a grow stop (> 4 weeks) to make flower-buds in spring.

Better gave them water from underneath every 1,5 - 2 weeks, totally drench the soil. No spraying. Better have them grow in natural light, but be aware of direct sunlight !
