i am for anarchy, but it's impractical with the number of people running around these days.. small denominations are bound to form over time to insure peoples well being, so there is no "true anarchy" i wish that there could be though

^isn't that an ism in itself?

OT: anarchism is a very interesting field of political theory and it makes sense in a lot of ways traditional theories don't. There are some problems that need to be adressed, but I do think it is inevitable in the long run.

You are anti-'ism' -> 'isness-ism' -> which itself is a 'ism'. Loop !

Just playing here.

Imagine humanity finally found the answer as to how to construct their society...
Wouldn't that be boring as hell? :)

It wouldn't even last that long. Genetic mutations would ultimately create individuals that aren't happy with the system. That's the beauty of nature, it never stands still, the continuous genetic trial-and-error process growing wildly towards things we can't even imagine.

Governments are created figures working for corporate interest.

This was, is and will be how it works if you have a government.

Anarchism will work, if there would be no money.

Watch Zeitgeist Addendum (if you haven't seen it yet, shame on you :p ) and try to understand that without money, we would've been here without government, wars, poverty and without most of the crimes.

A world without money is an ideal climate for the creation of money

Anarchism is a wild flower, it flourishes alone but needs the pollen of its peers...

anti-establishment-ism, which is known as anarchism to most.

anarchism could easily be interpreted as anti-ism. think about it... an-meaning anti or opposite, then archy in this context mean organization or an established system (the "system", being "government" as well as "ism")

the only difference is that you are specially marking the term (anarchy) with the "ism", which has no real value, as the concept isn't truely an established system (by nature of the theory), just an established thought. and it can be explained with out the word ism at all, i mean ive never really heard anarchy called anarchism in the states, but this doesn't matter because we both interpret it similarly

by being anti-ism you are actually anarchist simultaneously, in part, simply by the broad definition of both terms

hope that wasnt a thought overload

^I think you are completely right.

Anarchism is the will of 'establishing' anarchy, which I can see is pretty contradictory.

I think the next best thing after anarchy would be what they call associative democracy where there is a thin government controlling free associations of people. One of those associations could for example allow all drugs to its members, provided they don't harm anybody else in the process. Another association could prohibit every drug to their members and live happily ever after. Both associations cannot influence the members of the other association and cannot punish them for their drug use or lack thereof. People are free to choose associations and are free to leave. Tax money is distributed according to number of members. Unlike anarchy, this vorm of democracy is something that a nationstate can evolve into directly. It can be formed by starting political groups that promote a certain idea, while respecting others.

uh-yes-uh-no I disagree resp. I wanna add something. Anarchism is not just anti-ism. It does not mean chaos. Perfect socialism is anarchism, perfect democracy is anarchism. Anarchism is completely de-centralized organisation. Because it is organisation - depending on how it is, there is still trade which is also some kind of organization.

i agree kinda.

only.. what is reality? who's to judge? and what's fantasy? you make your own life.. live it the way you want. we're mankind, we "rule" the earth. we don't need systems to survive. live free!
