Hey guys,

I thought I would share some of my favorite music in the psychill/tripping genre.

First of all, I'll start with my introduction to this kind of music.

Younger Brother (Simon Posford & Benji Vaughan):
Younger Brother - Ribbon on a Branch

Then the other projects involving Simon Posford,

Shpongle (with Raja Ram) and Celtic Cross:
Shpongle - DMT
Celtic Cross - Hicksville

Then the other groups I discovered, mainly

Entheogenic, Bluetech, Ott, Tripswitch:

Entheogenic - Pagan Dream Machine -Vibrasphere Remix
Bluetech - Elementary Particles
Ott - From Trunch To Stormness
Tripswitch - Deer Park

I think all of the mentioned above have alot of talent involved, and they deliver sublime music (Well at least, that's my opinion)
Please share with me what you think of it! Thanks :)

PS: If you like any of those and want more, let me know.. I can help you find it :)

Amon Tobin also belongs on my list of favorite artists, and in fact most of my first acid trip was on his music(along with Pink Floyd).
I am more familiar with his "Bricolage" album though.
Great talent!

I've tripped a couple of times listening to Shpongle, but though I enjoyed it, I think it's too dominant, or at least some sections are just too wild. Nice for crazy recreational trips on low dosages, but not really suitable for deep introverted or emotional states. The same can be said about a lot of other psytrance and older psychedelic music (Gong, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix etc.) which I love when I'm stoned or sober, but too distracting when tripping.

My first two mushroom trips (6 and 8 grams dried) were experienced in silence. Then for about two years most of my (2 to 5 gram) trips were spent listening to electronic music (Shpongle, Entheogenic etc.), and I became increasingly uncomfortable with it.

The music of Steve Roach seems to be good background music however. Haven't tripped with it yet, but would love to one day. Ishq, Krill and Elve, mentioned by magickmumu, are really good too.

This is the 2nd Younger Brother album ..I really recommend it if you liked the first song I posted (Ribbon on a Branch)

Last Days of Gravity - Younger Brother

Their first one is a bit different.. it comes closer to Shpongle, as in it's abit "wilder" as CM stated. (I LOVE both though :))

About two weeks ago I tripped on Androcell, and though I found it very shallow at first, I was completely into his groove a couple of minutes later. I had a very blissful time on his two albums! I love this artist!

The funny thing is that I enjoyed listening to Shpongle, Ott and Younger Brother on my first few trips, but last time they seemed too wild and noisy to me. But I still enjoy listenening to them sober once in a while.

Some good artists that I've discovered in these last couple of months:
Aes Dana
H.U.V.A. Network
Kick Bong
Slackbaba

Those are all already part of my collection :D

My main music discovery tool was www.last.fm but now it's not free anymore.. you have to pay after listening to 30 songs.. even though it's only a few dollars per month ..I don't feel like doing so =/

Yes same here. I used Last.fm a lot these last couple of months. I agree with you about the radiothingy, but you can still search for similar artists and music. I also think there are other websites that have radioprograms like Last.fm but then without you having to pay money?

He recorded a lion for this track, almost the whole album consists of sampled sounds, that's why it's called foley room ;)
