Today I came across a poem I found on the webz some time ago. As I think it's really beautiful I would like to share it with you all :)

Soltitude

LAUGH, and the world laughs with you;
Weep, and you weep alone.
For the sad old earth must borrow it's mirth,
But has trouble enough of it's own.
Sing, and the hills will answer;
Sigh, it is lost on the air.
The echoes bound to a joyful sound,
But shrink from voicing care.

Rejoice, and men will seek you;
Grieve, and they turn and go.
They want full measure of all your pleasure,
But they do not need your woe.
Be glad, and your friends are many;
Be sad, and you lose them all.
There are none to decline your nectared wine,
But alone you must drink life's gall.

Feast, and your halls are crowded;
Fast, and the world goes by.
Succeed and give, and it helps you live,
But no man can help you die.
There is room in the halls of pleasure
For a long and lordly train,
But one by one we must all file on
Through the narrow aisles of pain.

loverly I'll post a short one that may seem similar;

Don't see bleak upon the rain,
as rain is under sun.
The sun exists upon your bliss,
And allows your fears to run.
Hold and embrace what you can chase,
These loves will be dear to you.
Sum your chances, behold your branches,
And reach for the upper blue.

From yours truly.

I liked hers better though.

I like it! But I'm thinking her point is: Don't complain, just get on with it. There are many people in worse states than you! Well that's what I got from it anyway. I'm serial complainer/negative talker, it's something I need to work on :rolleyes: :)

I don't know how different this is, but the message I took from it would be something along the lines of this: 'If things are going wrong for you, you could be really sad about that but that will only leave you unhappy and lonely. If you adopt a positive attitude towards your problem you'll notice how many friends will want to help you get through your hard times.'

I'd love to hear more thoughts on this/the poem.

You believed
You believed in moments not conceived
You believed in me
A patient in spirit
Uncompromise
Without us in your heart
A light in your eyes that
Ends all lies
Vacant, broken
Fell at the hands of
Those moments that I wouldn't see
Cause you, you pray for me too
What have I done to be a son to an angel
What have I done to be worthy
Daylight dims leaving cold fluorescence
Difficult to see with this light
Please forgive this selfish question, but
What am I to say to all these ghouls tonight
She never told a lie
Well might of told a lie
But never lived one
Didn't have a life
Didn't have a life
But surely saved one
Alright, now it's time for us to let you go

A masterpiece.

Can't actually remember writing that! But yeah, looking back, you're clearly right and it is different. Working on my problems instead of dwelling on them is something I need to master anyway! For every positive action make sure there will be a positive reaction, and stuff it up Newtons :butthead: ... Rambling again :drinkers:
