Music I created for the Mushroom experience.....

Greetings fellow psychonaut's! :rock:


I have been writing music for some time now, and in the last year I have been leaning towards psychedelic rock, and psychedelic sounds in general to create a mystical experience. :shock:

I don't have a band, but I do have one guitar and an fx workstation, hopefully some of you can enjoy some of these songs on your next flight.

This song has one of the best Psychedelic intro's I have ever written then it turns into a heavy rock song (if you like Metallica or Iron maiden you should give this one a listen)

ya i'd love to hear what real drums could do for that first song, If you'd want to i'd gladly send you the rythm so you could record your drumming on it.

From my first impression I think I'd really love "water" when tripping. It's the repetitive rhythm guitar pattern with the solo guitar flying above it that makes me think it would work great as a tripping track. "Psilocybe" and "In the Soul of the Beast" would also work well I think, but probably only as kind of background tracks (that means I wouldn't really notice the music playing during the trip, but it would definitely support the feeling). I wouldn't play "Nekron" while tripping, it'd totally freak me out. Too intense and too aggressive for a trip in my opinion (doesn't mean I don't like it, just not for tripping!)

However I can never tell what tracks are especially good tripping tracks when I'm sober. Often I don't realize the trippiness of a track when I'm not tripping. Sometimes I think a track is trippy and then it's actually not. I'll check it out when my next batch of shrooms is ready and I'll let you know

i'd love to get feedback from a mushroom experience, I know when I trip I really enjoy my music and it can take my experience to a whole new level, but if someone else could enjoy it on a trip, then my work is done

DUDE! I play guitar too, in a band, but i also have a sort of solo project where i write and record stuff and use backing tracks! I posted my music in the art & philosophy section and it's absolutely NOT intended for tripping since it's a bit too tense for a nice mushie trip...

Anyhow, i like the guitar work and heavy-that-hits-directly-at-the-balls riffing in nekron, but as the others said i wouldn't listen to it while tripping, i would get agited and nervous. Other than that it's good.

Psylocibe, is much more better for tripping, thanks to do the nice clean guitar work. Nice arpeggios

Water is really the best though, really nice solos and the clean sound is near perfection for the trippy feeling you're looking for.

Hey John thanks for the feedback, glad you liked it. I have quite a few more psychedelic tracks and alot of heavier stuff, I might upload some more sometime this week. I'll have to check out your music when I get a chance.

Kwarkfanaat I'll upload the rythm for Nekron sometime this week, friday by the latest and maybe a few other heavy songs and let you see what you like. if you want to work with any others would be cool too.

OsMond - Not much to say about this track, its not even a song. just spaced noises playing off eachother. Although in the end it sounds like something I might carry out into a more complicated rythm.

Acoustika/ Space outlaw - Classic desert walking acoustic riff, with a faze on it and a tripped out bass in the background, I enjoy this one best on mushrooms when i'm just laying on my back puffing a joint, sets a very suttle mood.

Into the Soul of the Beast - This one is another song like Osmond, not really a song but just sounds playing off eachother. Although I like this one alot better, to me it sounds like a conversion between the powers that be....

Nekron 99 - this is my favourite song, starts out with about a minute of a psychedelic space sounding intro and then leads into a pretty catchy metal tune with a killer solo.

Gates of Hell Revisited - I have two version listed, the first one is the basic rythm, and the second is basically the same with a bit of an intro and a guitar solo throughout the whole song. My rythm guitar in the second version never came out as good and solid as the first, I will have to rerecord and tighten a few kinks out of the solo's and the exact tone of the lead guitar neads to be tweaked a bit too, but i'm sure its still a pretty cool thrash tune.

Well thats all I got the effort to upload, if you wanna hear the best one's my favourite's are "water" for Psychedelic and "nekron 99" for Rock.
